Fire Puja with Lama Wangdu Rinpoche

Lama Tsering Wangdu Rinpoche will lead Chod practice and a fire offering puja in the Chod tradition. Fire pujas can be peaceful, abundant, powerful or wrathful. This one is from the Mahamudra of Machig Labdron and is primarily a wrathful puja, but it does combine all four types. It has many functions: to clear obstacles, to attract prosperity, to relieve harm and suffering, and to drive away negative energies.

During this weekend, Lama Wangdu Rinpoche will be granting Chod empowerment as well as teachings on the text and visualizations. With his guidance we will also learn the melody of the chant and the use of the instruments. Lama Wangdu will also teach the Chod Dance and give each participant a personal blessing.

October 26th-30th, Venue: Tara Mandala Retreat Center, Colorado
Rinchen Trengwa, or "Tsogle" as it is affectionately called, is probably the most direct practice lineage from Machig, descending through the Kagyu lineage from the Karmapas. This is an extensive Chod practice.
